A Gift for Kentucky's Children
All Kentucky children deserve the best education possible. Through Growing Innovations For Tomorrow (GIFT), Kentucky businesses have the opportunity to make a real difference to benefit Kentucky’s children, grades K through 12.
Gift is a proposed educational improvement tax credit that provides companies with a 50% tax credit when they donate to K-12 education. The program calls for a 50% tax credit up to a maximum donation of $200,000. A business paying taxes in Kentucky can receive up to $100,000 in tax credits. More importantly, GIFT provides more opportunities to improve children’s education. GIFT will benefit both public and non-public schools.
Participating businesses can cut their tax obligation by 50%. At the same time, they’re contributing and improving the educational opportunities for all Kentucky children.
